Zion Arts Centre is privilaged to have it's own in-house acting company. The group is made up of 22 amazing young actors each with their own unique style.

ZYAC's debut performance Paulasville has been a real success in demonstrating their acting potential. 

Introducing Zion Young Actors' Company ...

Natalie Bethell is 23 years of age and has always been interested in drama. With 10 years performing arts experience, Natalie has mainly been involved in theatre and has also done TV work which is her primary interest. Natalie is excited to be a member of the first ever Zion Young Actors’ Company.

 

Christian Budsworth is 16 years old and is delighted to debut in a professional theatre following previous performances with school.
Currently studying A Levels, Christian’s ability ranges from light hearted roles to more serious roles.

 

Laura Conway graduated from Edge Hill University in 2005 with a 2:1 BA Hons in Drama & professional development. She has done a summer course at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and training in the Meisner Technique and The Mastery of Self Expression. Laura's stage credits: Eve; Absurd Person Singular, Regan; King Lear, Verity; Find Me.

 

Neffie Deanne is a drama worker for Reel Mcr and teaches drama at Waterside Arts Centre in Sale. Neffie has worked closely with Brian Morgan and has previously directed at Contact Theatre. She hopes to further pursue her acting career and drama teaching. Other credits include a sitcom for Channel M.

 

Carlos Dore has been acting for three years and would like to pursue a successful acting career. His main ambition is to work in the TV industry. Carlos is enthusiastic, willing to cope under pressure and enjoys a challenge. He is really looking forward to acting in Paulasville.

 

Catherine Dorrity has a degree in Drama from John Moore's University. She has since formed her own theatre company. She has produced shows supported by The Greenroom and Panda Arts. Last year Catherine was in productions for Pandamonium & Manchester International Festival. Most recent play was for Old Vic New Voices.

 

Chloe Heywood is fifteen years old and has been involved in drama since the age of seven. Her love of drama has lead to LAMDA exams and involvement in drama festivals. Chloe has taken part in many performances for stage and also appeared in a short film which won the Yorkshire Film Festival circa 2002. Chloe hopes to pursue a successful acting career.

 

Jamil Keating is fourteen years old and has been acting since age five. Jamil has been in several plays, including two for the National Youth Music Theatre, one of which showcased in Belfast. 

 

 

 

Jermaine Liburd is twenty-three. He has been involved in drama for 3 years and acting is his passion. Jermaine has 14 production credits including theatre, short film and radio; 3 of these productions were lead roles. Jermaine has performed at a number of theatres around the Northwest including Preston Royal Guilds Hall and The Lowry Arts Centre, Salford.

 

Abraham Mabrouk has finished A Levels and is looking forward to university. He has been involved in film production in the past. His passion lies behind the camera as well as in front. This is Abraham’s theatre debut and he is interested in the Stanislavski method of acting. Abraham is determined to work exceptionally hard to pursue a career in the film industry.

 

Safrana Musa is a highly creative individual who is currently extending her ability and understanding of the industry. Safrana would love to continue working within the field of theatre and the stage and will pursue her passion of acting and singing. Safrana’s ambition is to be part of a musical production.

 

Somoya Nelson is twenty five years old and has been acting for many years. Somoya has played the character Labrinth in Minority Rapport at Contact Theatre where she was also a Script Consultant. She co-presented Festivals of Culture at the Powerhouse and was a production manager for the NXT Generation Takeover Showcase at The Bridgewater Hall.

 

Leila Owen has taken part in many theatre productions since leaving Salford University in 2006. She has worked as Assistant Director, Stage Manager and Director. Leila’s passion lies in directing. Leila is currently Assistant Producer / Director of a play called Land’s End which will shows at this year’s 24:7 Theatre Festival.    

 

 Jack Rhodes-Warden has acted in several school productions since starting high school, and has also been involved in a few out of school performances. Jack is a creative person who enjoys acting and is pleased to be in the first ever Zioin Young Actors’ Company.

 

Shaun Sinclair has been acting for over a year and is studying Performing Arts and Drama at High School, He starts at Pendleton Performing Arts College in September 2008, Shaun loves theatre and film equally wishes to pursue acting in both fields. Credits include BBC’s Waterloo Road. Shaun is determined to work hard to achieve recognition as a talented upcoming actor.

 

Mary Sobers has been acting for a number of years. Mary is a youth worker who enjoys organizing children’s parties and fashion shows. Mary has substantial theatre experience and is looking to add to her existing TV credits.

 

 

Jonathan Sutton has been involved in Performing Arts for the last seven years and finds it very rewarding. Currently working on a short film, Jonathon is very comfortable in front of the camera and is ready to pursue a career in the television industry. Jonathon looks forward to establishing himself as a respected, talented & professional actor.  

 

Lyon Talabi is a university student who is proud to be involved with Zion Young Actors’ Company. Lyon enjoys taking part in a wide range of events and looks forward to travelling to America over the summer 2008.

 

 

Marvin is a talented actor. He is pleased to be a member of the first Zion Young Actors' Company.
