Literacy Training Days for Educators of Key Stage 1 & 2

Drama to enhance Key Stage 1 & 2 literacy skills

Odd Theatre Company and Zion Arts Centre are offering half day and full day literacy training courses for primary school educators. 

Within the dynamic and original workshop you can expect to learn games and techniques that are designed to easily adapt to a classroom setting, including:

• Rhythm, sound, mood and atmosphere
• Role-play, improvisation and hotseating
• Mime, freeze frames and sculpting
• Exploring emotions, motives and feelings
• Comparing stories to real life experiences
• Story-telling techniques and creativity
• Exploring alternative narratives, plot, and issues beyond the text
• Non-verbal and verbal communication techniques
• Identifying points of view and moral issues through creative discussion and reflection
